Re: Dimitri PAYET
There is no point keeping a player who wants to leave to better himself. But should he go then I think the owners should command a heck of a lot of money for him. For his time at the club I thank him for bringing a spark back since Tevez and Di Canio. It was good whilst it lasted

Re: Dimitri PAYET
Its comments like 'the owners would jump at £30m' which worry me,he is worth far, far more than that.

If only we had a striker worthy of the name he would be brilliant again, at the moment too much is expected of him.

Nice while it lasted.

Thank you for showing me the way forward with your mature outlook of name calling a day late. Look up irony in the dictionary sonny.

Re: Dimitri PAYET
I was in Paris today, and got a copy of L'Équipe for the journey home. No mention of Payet, then again it was all in French, and I was pissed. If it's paper talk, they don't seem to be talking about it.

Re: Dimitri PAYET
Difficult one I was to young to appreciate Moore. I started going in the Brooking/Bonds era. Brooking was a fantastic player. Bonds was very underated he was seen as a hard man and enforcer. He was much more than that. Bryan Pop Robson was another great player fantastic finisher made scoring gials look easy in his two spells at West Ham. Like Bonzo a complete mystery that he never played for England. Devonshire was another great player but for the injuries would have got 50 plus England caps. Di Canio we all loved him another great. Payet is up the with them definately.

'...but he does not seem of that ilk and would not seem to be one to go on strike etc to get a move.'

It was a long time ago but that's precisely what he did when Saint Etienne refused to sell him to PSG some years ago. He refused to play and even when the window ended went pretty much AWOL for the rest of the season.

TBF, he's a different person and player now and it's in no one's interest for things to get to that stage.

Re: Dimitri PAYET
Reckon he will go to a club in france for around £20M in January. Maybe more if he scores a few more before then though.

Re: Dimitri PAYET
I can't blame him for going if he does. Absolute shit signings and the move to the new stadium has been a complete joke.

Re: Dimitri PAYET
We all might as well give up if Payet goes.

Not doubt be replaced by an over the hill Fabregas on 150k a week.

With Slav's recent track record on signings it won't look good.

Re: Dimitri PAYET
Ken Dyer, media outlets, journos... us on here, pure speculation and in many cases fabrication.

The narrative is simple for the media.. he is too good for West Ham. Hence story after story. Sure he might well be tempted by the right offer but its going to be well north of 30 bleedin million. These journos are clueless. He is on a whopping contract as well. 50 million before we even turn our heads.

The only wild card is that he is French and they are prone to moodiness but he does not seem of that ilk and would not seem to be one to go on strike etc to get a move.

We simply have to get some better results. Crucial period to Xmas.

Re: Dimitri PAYET
Hmm, I think Mr. Payet will find he is under contract. He can submit a transfer request if he wants. Otherwise, please get your head down and lead us out of this mess. Merci.

Re: Dimitri PAYET
I'd be impressed if we could get another player the quality of Payet for 30-40m though.

Maybe you pair of know it alls should have a word with the big scruffy bloke, point out the bargains. Once you've finished noshing each other off of course.

Re: Dimitri PAYET
30-40 million gets you fuck all,..

I reckon there's only ever been about 30-40 odd players ever to transfer over £30m?

Or waste it on the likes of Lanzini and Payet?

Vexed 8:19 Mon Nov 7
Re: Dimitri PAYET
30-40m buys you fuck all in today's market, especially in January when everyone knows you're desperate. Hope no offers materialise or Bilic will waste it on the likes of the allegedly worth 38m duo of Tore and Zaza. Christ.

andyd12345 8:12 Mon Nov 7
Re: Dimitri PAYET
I shudder at the thought of us selling Payet.

Not because I couldn't imagine us without him, but because I dread to think the garbage Bilic would buy with £40m.
